Note from the Commissioner

Scouts Canada has been part of my life since I was a 7 year old.  I have great memories of camps, friends and leaders but most importantly I remember how it felt to grow up in the supportive community of Scouting. It allowed me to stretch the boundaries for myself in a safe and controlled environment,  it allowed me to make mistakes and it allowed me to learn.  That is our goal with our Squamish Beavers, Cubs, Sea Scouts and Venturers.  To allow our youth to learn to become strong contributing members of whatever community they end up in and to have a ton of fun along the way.  With the amazing natural attributes we are blessed with in Squamish it only makes sense for us to use these facilities and you will find that we are quite an active group. 

We hope you allow your children to spend time with us and join the program.  We are also always looking for help from parents.  To get the training and put on a Scouts uniform says a lot to your child and the community. You will also have a lot of fun.  As a group of leaders we promise to uphold the practises of Scouts Canada and to do our best to help your child grow in a safe and challenging environment.  Bring on the Adventure!
